The Project Settings configure the project with various options. The settings can be found in the context menu under Project
Settings. A quick start is enabled via the
Project Configuration. It is possible to create several different sets of settings using
Versions.
Here, the settings in the general tab are described.
To select languages, use the drop-down menu and select all languages that you want to assign to the project. Note that multiple languages require an additional license. If more languages are selected than licensed, they can be configured but not used.
Tip: To switch between languages, you can use the F8 key.
The location is used to determine the position. The position is used in various Function Blocks of the PLC, among other things. If no position is specified, the latitude and longitude 0 are used. The coordinates can be entered manually or via the location input field. The location input performs a Google Maps search. The server requires an internet connection for this. The address does not need to be specified precisely. In most cases, the locality is sufficient.
In a server, each project can have a different time zone. The time zone is also automatically determined based on the location.
Configures the internal project backup of the server. This performs an export at the specified time. Further information can be found in the chapter Backup Management.
This tab configures the appearance and behavior of the visualization.
Here, various design settings can be made. Avoid using too many colors. A custom image can also be specified. The area at the top left in the visualization is, however, a fixed part of Antcas Control and cannot be hidden.
With these settings, the title for various languages can be overridden. Normally, the title is derived from the project name. Removing the title by leaving the input blank is explicitly not recommended. Instead, disable the option "Display Title on Image".
At the top right of the visualization, there is the possibility to use various widgets. This can currently be a clock or a logo. For the logo graphic, it is recommended to apply the color overlay to seamlessly integrate the image into the design.
If the checkmark is removed, the visualization is completely deactivated and the error 503 Not Available is displayed.
Tip: Instead of deactivation, you can also use the Maintenance Mode.
This tab configures the settings related to the PLC.
Using retention policies, the duration of maximum data retention can be defined. It is not recommended to set this to Infinite.
Here, the cycle time is set. This setting appears simple but is very complex. These are further described in the chapter Cycle Times.
