Telephony

The VoIP telephony services include various protocols and services. To make the context of the configuration easier to understand, the chapters have been divided accordingly.

Functional Principle

An Asterisk server is provided locally on the Antcas server. This supports the Asterisk AMI interface for logging. Unlike a conventional Asterisk telephone system, the configuration of the phone numbers is specified by Antcas Control to avoid conflicts between the projects. The phone numbers of the visualization are configured completely automatically and cannot be reached by the SIP participants. In addition to the telephone system, a System-VoIP service is used to configure and monitor the Asterisk telephone system. Depending on whether special elements are used, a VoIP service is also started per project to provide additional services.

Note: For the Asterisk telephone system to be started on the server, at least one participant (Telephone) must be configured in the Library and the Project must be assigned to a server. See Assign Application To Project for details.
