The setup of the speakers is done first using the SONOS app on the smartphone, tablet or PC. Then the connected devices are automatically recognized. Each device is assigned its own ID, starting at 100. If a device is removed, the ID will remain reserved in the background.
All devices are regularly searched for via UPnP (Multicast). The speakers are then subscribed accordingly. Communication then takes place directly with the speaker via TCP port 1'400. Each status is thus received in real time by the server. If a speaker can no longer be found via Multicast, it will be automatically deleted after one to two minutes.
In the Devices structure, Channels can be created. For these to be created, various prerequisites must be met.
