Date and Time

Date and Time.
Time Zone
The default time zone of a server can be set under Date and Time. This determines the cleanup interval on its server at 03:00 AM. In addition, this time zone is used for backing up system data. The time zone can also be set per project. This is not dependent on the system time zone configured here.
Note: The displayed date and time of the server in the dialog are always in UTC time zone.
NTP Server
Under the NTP Server tab, you can specify the servers for time synchronization. An Internet connection is required for automatic synchronization. In addition, an NTP server must be selected as the source.
It is recommended to define at least four NTP server pools. Only one source can also be specified. This then corresponds to the SNTP protocol. However, this is not recommended.
To force a synchronization of the NTP server, the source can be temporarily changed to manual. As long as the synchronization of the NTP server takes place, the Save button rotates.
Set Time Manually
The date and time are synchronized by default via an NTP server. If the server does not have an Internet connection, the system time can be synchronized once with the connected computer.
Note: If the date differs by more than one minute when setting it manually, sessions may be terminated.
To synchronize the time, the source settings must first be saved. After that, the function
Synchronize is enabled.
Note: The time is always displayed in UTC time zone.
Hardware Clock
Every server from Antcas has a real RTC quartz clock. This means that the time deviations are minimal, even if no NTP server is available. In addition, every server has a backup battery that keeps the time running in case of a power failure.
