With the Mail-Server, e-mails can be sent. The e-mails are always sent to the respective users.
It is also possible to send e-mails to a group, only the group ID is required for this.
The settings are made per server. For this purpose, the mail server must be configured under Infrastructure
Server
Network.
Tip: Configure the e-mail address in the current system user so that the settings can be tested.
The duration for maximum retention can be set in the context menu under Project Settings
Retention Policies.
If the mail server is disabled, all outgoing e-mails are immediately deleted. This can also be seen in the monitor.
With the type SMTP-Server, e-mails can be sent via an SMTP-Server. Please note the guidelines of the provider for this purpose. It is important that the correct sender has been entered.
Various texts and also formatting can lead to an e-mail being recognized as SPAM. It is possible that a link with a DynDNS-URL will be interpreted as phishing or spam. As a result, the server will not accept the e-mail.
Note: With some SMTP-Server it can happen that e-mails are sent multiple times. This has been observed several times with Microsoft ESMTP.
This is a service from Antcas. It sends e-mails directly and encrypted via Antcas Hub. The TCP port 443 is used for this.
