Scenes and
Macros simplify the control of multiple devices simultaneously. They are different, however: A macro controls one device per SPE cycle and is therefore slower.
Almost all Communication objects of the
Peripherals can be selected and configured. An exception is, for example, the switch with the function ON/OFF switch. A scene cannot trigger a macro or another scene, however. A macro can control another scene.
Tip: If the ON/OFF switch generates an impulse and must be controlled via a scene, it can be replaced by an ON switch. Then, at the end of the FUP program, the value must be reset using VISUSET. Sometimes the programming needs to be extended. For example, when controlling a pole cover relatively, first a Function Block SHUTTER must be used to control the position absolutely.
A timer can directly control a scene and a macro. A macro can control a scene, but a scene cannot.

The configuration of scenes and macros takes place on the visualization. For this purpose, the element Scene Configuration or Macro Configuration is used. This is added in the Peripherals under the Visualization tab.
