The server status in the
setup provides detailed information about the SMART values of the server. SMART stands for Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology and enables early warning before the SSD fails. Sometimes, however, unexpected failures can occur. In this case as well, the system warns about the failure of the SSD.
Three different types of SMART monitoring are used depending on the server type. These include SATA, NVMe, and eMMC storage media. The evaluations of these systems differ significantly from each other.
Antcas Control continuously evaluates this information and warns about possible problems in the infrastructure. All systems with an EXT4 file system are monitored. An error cannot be reset, as SSD failure should always be prevented. The following errors exist in the infrastructure:

| Error | More than one error has occurred or the lifespan of the SSD is no longer high. |
| Warning | A few errors have occurred or the lifespan has been exceeded. |
| Critical | An above-average number of errors have occurred. The storage medium is most likely defective. |
| Failed | The SSD is already defective and can no longer be repaired. The system may no longer function properly. A restart might not be possible anymore. In this scenario, the storage medium must be replaced if possible. |
Note: If
SSD-SMART is not displayed under
information in the infrastructure, no monitoring is performed. SMART may not be supported or it might be a VM.
