ESPA Protocol

The ESPA Interface receives messages from an alarm center. Currently, only the reception of ESPA 4.4.4 messages is supported.

Notes on Personal Protection: Antcas Control is not an alerting server. Therefore, life-critical messages should always be transmitted directly. It must be noted that other components such as switches, routers, internet connections, etc., can fail in the event of a malfunction.

Functionality

The interface can establish a connection via serial USB adapter or Ethernet. For Ethernet connections, operation as server or client is possible. In client mode, any number of connections can be established simultaneously. However, the address remains the same in this case. Therefore, the use of multiple slaves in this configuration is not recommended.

Depending on the address configuration, the interface operates as master or slave. If the address is set to 1, the interface is operated as a master. The master then polls all configured addresses.

Configuration

All addresses that Antcas Control should respond to are created in the Installation. When receiving new messages, these are then resolved in the corresponding id. If an unknown address is received, a new element with the appropriate type is automatically created.

Note: It is important to check the character encoding in the gateway. If this is not correct, special characters will not be transmitted properly.

To send or receive an event, a new Peripheral is added and its id is set. The value of the id corresponds to the address and the phone number, separated by an @.

In the above example, the number 9'000 is sent to and received from the device with address 2.

The other Constants are only used when sending values.
