Navigation

The navigation is automatically created by Antcas Control based on the Pages in the Explorer. The sorting, icons, and names can be customized individually. Headings and separators can also be inserted freely.

Note: The navigation can also be completely hidden per User under Type.

Structure

There is only one Navigation. This is divided into a main navigation and a sub-navigation. The main navigation is displayed at the top in the desktop and tablet view. All other levels are located in the sub-navigation.

Display

To change the icons or the display, a page must first be opened. Then, on the right side under Design, there is the setting for the appearance of the navigation.

The icons are each for the Main Navigation (top) or the Secondary Navigation. If an icon is not defined, it will be inherited from a lower element.

Tip: The icon can be copied and reinserted as an icon at another location.

Sorting

All elements in the Navigation can be sorted automatically. This is very practical when multiple Languages are used.

The sorting is set in the Explorer below the Pages and always affects the upper view. With a click on the -icon, the order can be reversed.

The sorting of the Pages is always done by Range. That means if headings or separators are used, the elements in between will be sorted. Furthermore, all sortings are inherited. If the lower elements should not be sorted, this must be set accordingly.

There are the following sorting options:

  • Inherit Sorting
  • No Sorting
  • Sort By Title
  • Sort By Length

Headings and Separators

Between the Pages, Headings and Separators can be inserted.

All repeating separators, as well as separators at the beginning and end of the navigation, are automatically hidden. If there is no further element after a heading, it will be automatically hidden.

Redirection

It is possible to redirect entire pages. However, these redirections should only refer to lower levels and not across the visualization. This can significantly impair the user-friendliness of the visualization.

To create a redirection, open the page where the redirection should be created and add the plugin Redirect there. Now all pages can be inserted via Drag&Drop. The redirection then takes place according to the respective permissions from top to bottom.

Permissions

If Permissions are assigned, the page will be hidden if the user does not have the required permissions. Unlike expected, these are not inherited. Instead, only that one page is hidden and the subpages are displayed instead of the unreported page. This allows, for example, in a hotel to create a visualization for each room individually and at the same time set up a welcome page.

Note: Headings and Separators from lower levels will still be displayed.
