Certas

The Certas interface communicates alarm messages to Certas AG of Switzerland. Alarms that require attention from Certas can be easily transmitted via the Internet.

Functionality

The interface communicates with the Certas server endpoint iot-tst.certas.ch. The communication is secured by TLS. An interface can record any number of alarms for a connection number. Reachability is checked every 5 to 6 hours. If no signal is received from the server within 24 hours, Certas takes appropriate measures. All states are only transmitted upon change to avoid repeated alarms and the resulting costs. The states of the interface remain after a restart.

Configuration

The connection number and the associated access key are entered in the gateway. An interface must be created for each connection number. You will receive the login details from Certas AG after contract conclusion.

Note: The domain certastest is only to be used for test systems. However, not to perform a commissioning.

In the installation, all alarms can be added. Each of the pre-configured alarms has an alarm and a reset state.

Interface

Name Description
time Timestamp of the last successful communication check.
error If the interval state was not successfully transmitted, the variable is true.
offline If no connection could be established, this state is true. This is also the case if authentication or signal processing fails.

Alarms

Each alarm can have a locationid. This is optional and may be defined by Certas. The constants signalid_alarm and signalid_restore are only individually available for the alarm.

Name Description
locationid Optional location of the alarm as an integer between 0..9'999.
signalid_alarm Specifies the signal ID according to SIA III with two letters. This is sent when the alarm is TRUE.
signalid_restore Specifies the signal ID according to SIA III with two letters. This is sent when the alarm is FALSE.
alarm Triggers an alarm immediately if true and resets it when false. The state is only transmitted upon change of the value. Sending TRUE again does not trigger a new alarm. This must first be set to FALSE.
error If the state was not successfully transmitted, the variable is true.

Note: An alarm does not need to be sent again if error becomes true. The interface handles this automatically.
