Huawei HiLink

The interface supports communication via USB-LTE router. Almost all Huawei sticks are seamlessly supported. After inserting the USB stick, a new network interface appears. This must first be activated and configured as a DHCP client.

After that, communication between the interface and the USB router is established via TCP/IP.

PIN Entry

After the gateway has been activated, the status of the PIN is displayed when opening the configuration again. If authentication fails, the PIN is deleted and replaced with Wrong PIN!. If no PIN was specified and it is required, Enter PIN is displayed.

Note: If the PIN has been activated or stored on the stick, an interruption may occur after a certain operating time since the PIN is requested again. Therefore, make sure that the correct PIN has already been entered.

Connection

The connection (connect) is responsible for establishing a data connection. The network interface can then be used as a router. SMS messages can also be sent and received without a connection.

Message Limit

Limits can be set for the number of messages. This is recommended so that the boxes do not get full. It is only possible to set a limit for all boxes. To delete all messages, the limit can be set below 0 or -1. However, this is not recommended. Additionally, messages can be deleted using the Function Block MSG_BOX.

Sending via PLC

To send a message via PLC, the function block MSG_SEND, MSG_SEND_GROUP, or MSG_SEND_USER is used. For this purpose, the variable send is used.

Sending Messages via SMS

It is possible to send messages directly via SMS through this interface. For this purpose, the interface must be created and then selected as an endpoint in the SMS Server.
