Edit Control Elements

This chapter explains how to work with control elements. These are first configured under the elements in the structure and then displayed in the visualization via the corresponding plugins.

There are different control types, each using different element configurations. The assignment of control types to their respective configurations is listed in the following table:

Type	Description
Floor Plan	In the floor plan, symbols as well as tabs are used.
Simple	This view uses only the tabs.
Control Panel	The control panel uses its own configuration. This is quite limited, as only buttons are supported.
Panel View	The panel view allows you to design a free layout.

Communication

All elements can be freely configured. The visualization communicates with the PLC using VISUVAR function blocks. Therefore, all VISUVAR variables must first be created in the application. After that, these can be assigned to an element for communication.
