HOOC
The VPN of HOOC is directly integrated into the server. You do not need to install a new device in your setup. Access is provided via software VPN directly to the network.
Note: Only one HOOC-VPN is supported per server.
Acquisition and Registration
If you are already an HOOC customer, create a new facility in the HOOC portal. You will then be asked for the serial number. This must first be activated or acquired by HOOC. Request the serial number via email to sales@hooc.ch. Provide the name of your facility and, if applicable, the login email address.
Important: If your company already has an HOOC account, contact the HOOC administrator of your company to have the facility registered in your company account.

Configuration

VPN and Tunnels.
- Add a new
HOOC-VPN
- Open HOOC-VPN
- The HWID of the device will now appear
- After activation in the HOOC portal, insert and save the key (Hardware Identification Code)
- The service will now be automatically activated
- After successful activation, a new network interface named
hooc appears
- Configure the network interface
- This should be configured using a DHCP server (default)
- Under the Advanced tab, select all interfaces in the NAT Forwardings that you want to access via the VPN tunnel.
Note: Do not forget to assign the ports of the visualization to the network interface of the VPN after it has been configured.
Note: The service checks for a new update every night. This will then be automatically installed and may result in an interruption if a connection is active.
No Connection
If connecting to the network is not possible, you may need to adjust the metric in the network adapter settings. For example, under Windows, this can be set in the HOOC TAP0 network under Properties
