Mail Server

With the Mail Server, emails can be sent. The emails are always sent to the respective users.

It is also possible to send emails to a group, for which only the Group ID is required.

The settings are made per server. To do this, the Mail Server must be configured under Infrastructure ▸ Servers ▸ Network.

Tip: Configure the email address in the current system user so that the settings can be tested.

The duration for maximum retention can be set in the context menu under Project ▸ Settings ▸ Automation ▸ Retention Policies.

Disabled

If the Mail Server is disabled, all outgoing emails are immediately deleted. This is also visible in the Monitor.

SMTP Server

With the type SMTP Server, emails can be sent via an SMTP server. Please note the guidelines of the provider. It is important that the correct sender has been entered.

Various texts and formatting can cause an email to be recognized as SPAM. It is possible that a link with a DynDNS URL will be interpreted as phishing or spam. As a result, the server will not accept the email.

Note: With some SMTP servers, it may happen that emails are sent multiple times. This has been observed several times with Microsoft ESMTP.

Practical Tips

  • The Email Sending Cycle is increased depending on the configuration - This can lead to blocking of the Mail Account
  • The Sender Address must exist on the server, as SMTP may block it
  • In Exchange, MessageRateLimit may need to be increased (determine configuration: Get-ReceiveConnector | ft name,MessageRateLimit)

Antcas Cloud Mail

This is a service from Antcas. It sends emails directly and encrypted via the Antcas Hub. The TCP port 443 is used for this.

Please note the following guidelines for sending emails:

  • The sender email is always no-reply@antcasmail.com. The name can be chosen freely.
  • A maximum of 10 emails per minute can be sent. If this limit is exceeded, the server waits until the quota is available again.
  • Sending spam or misusing the service will result in blocking from the portal and legal consequences.
  • It is not guaranteed that the email service always functions reliably.
  • Later updates may be required for the service to continue to be used.
  • Antcas reserves the right to retain or analyze sent data.
