With the Mail Server, emails can be sent. The emails are always sent to the respective users.
It is also possible to send emails to a group, for which only the Group ID is required.
The settings are made per server. To do this, the Mail Server must be configured under Infrastructure
Servers
Network.
Tip: Configure the email address in the current system user so that the settings can be tested.
The duration for maximum retention can be set in the context menu under Project Settings
Retention Policies.
If the Mail Server is disabled, all outgoing emails are immediately deleted. This is also visible in the Monitor.
With the type SMTP Server, emails can be sent via an SMTP server. Please note the guidelines of the provider. It is important that the correct sender has been entered.
Various texts and formatting can cause an email to be recognized as SPAM. It is possible that a link with a DynDNS URL will be interpreted as phishing or spam. As a result, the server will not accept the email.
Note: With some SMTP servers, it may happen that emails are sent multiple times. This has been observed several times with Microsoft ESMTP.
This is a service from Antcas. It sends emails directly and encrypted via the Antcas Hub. The TCP port 443 is used for this.
